A Florida woman filmed and shared a video over the weekend featuring a first-person view of her screaming racist insults at Dunkin’ Donuts workers in Fort Lauderdale, Florida over a request for free food that was not immediately granted.

The woman, identified by The Smoking Gun as 27-year-old Taylor Chapman, visited the eatery a night prior and demanded to have her meal price refunded when her cashier was slow to hand over a receipt. Another associate asked her to return the next morning and speak with a manager, which supposedly led to the confrontation seen on the video.

“This shit’s about to go live, bitch!” Chapman screams at a female employee. “Right on Facebook, ’cause I already posted what your dumb ass did last night, so I hope you’re happy with your little fucking sand n—er self… I’m about to nuke your whole fucking planet from Mars. You think ya’ll are tough, big fat Arabs bombin’ the trade center? I’ll show you tough.”

She also called the employee “a complete cunt sand n—er whore,” and shouted: “I just want my bacon crispy and my people to be nice.” Chapman is even heard on the video wishing the footage gets “a million fucking hits,” which is likely a low estimate of the views it will get thanks to all the media attention since Monday.

“I literally can’t wait to post this on Facebook just as soon as we’re done,” Chapman continues. “Hi Facebook! This is what you have to do, in life. It fucking sucks. Blow my brains out.”

Her Facebook and LinkedIn accounts have subsequently been taken down.

The employee who remained calm and continued talking to the woman throughout the ordeal is 18-year-old Abid Adar, according to The Smoking Gun. He makes $8 an hour.

“We are aware of the video and the situation that occurred at the Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant located in Fort Lauderdale,” a Dunkin’ Donuts spokesperson explained in a prepared statement. “We commend the franchisee’s crew member for handling this difficult situation with grace and patience. We believe this is a powerful example of great customer service and the respect our crew members have for our guests.”

This video, which contains NSFW language, was published to YouTube on June 8, 2013.

It’s really uncomfortable to hear them say their calm response was an example of just exemplary customer service. This type of aggression is psychologically damaging. This isn’t because they’re nice to their “guests.” It’s because they’ll be fired if they defend themselves in any way other than peaceful, calm reservation. It’s because they will fulfil racial stereotypes if they do not comply with their non-confrontational directions. Companies regularly disregard the psychological strain of being polite and non-objectionable at all times, and especially when it comes to race.

No offense but this is not like some special case, this happens like on a daily basis. At most Dunkin Donuts and this is how we are expected to handle it. My manager even called me rude and threatened to fire me because I went to go get him and wouldn’t let him brush me off, because it was about as bad as this. Part of the reason I will never work for Dunkin ever again.

I work retail and hear racist shit said to me or my coworkers on a daily basis. I’m asked by coworkers how to handle situations, and as a supervisor have to tell them to get me to finish ringing the guest up if they feel uncomfortable or call a shift manager. I tell them the most they can say, without risking getting fired, is “Your comments are making me very uncomfortable right now, let me get a supervisor or shift manager to take over this transaction”. We do it under the guise of “great guest service” because this racist ass society won’t give us the validation and support we need to stand up for ourselves. Because, for corporations, money is in their best interest, not the mental health of POC employees who encounter racist (micro)aggressions on the daily.

You are forever relegated to The Companion?” And do you really want that same message for boys? “You will always be The Doctor. Girls are forever your Companions.” Fuck that noise. I want my son to grow up in a world where women can be real doctors and imaginary Time Lord Space Doctors.

Women looking to get their freak back may soon be able to pop a new breed of lust drug: Lybrido.

But scientists developing the desire pill sometimes called “female Viagra” confided in one writer an unusual worry. They fear the libido-booster may work too well.

Journalist Daniel Bergner, whose story on the still-being-developed wonder drug was published last week in the New York Times Magazine, says researchers worry about creating an orgasm-hungry nympho. Yeah,the author expressed surprise at that, too.

“More than one adviser to the industry told me that companies worried about the prospect that their study results would be too strong, that the F.D.A. would reject an application out of concern that a chemical would lead to female excesses, crazed binges of infidelity, societal splintering,” Bergner writes.

So drug companies may actually temper the potency of these easy-to-swallow menthol-flavored passion-stimulants, lest these crazy sex-having females have, you know, crazy amounts of sex. Whenever they feel like it, which would, presumably, be way more often (starting in 2016, when the drug developed by amusingly named med makers Emotional Brain is expected to hit the market).

“You want your effects to be good but not too good,” Andrew Goldstein, who is conducting the study in Washington, tells Bergner (on page 8, online) in the May 22 story. “There was a lot of discussion about it by the experts in the room … the need to show that you’re not turning women into nymphomaniacs. There’s a bias against — a fear of creating the sexually aggressive woman.”
